Advice regarding the old bill!

About 3 weeks ago I kicked the crap out of someone's motorbike basically because they pissed me off big time.It was recorded on cctv too so im bang to rights. I then recieved a bill for damages worth £681 even though the bike aint worth that much. Iv now been told the fella has got the police involved. Should I ring the police myself and admit my guilt and hope that it makes things easier for myself or should I wait for the old bill turn up?

Well you committed a criminal offence - criminal damage and you have caused him a loss.
Not sure what you are moaning about. Perhaps you could come to an arrangement with him - buy him a new bike and he withdraws his complaint?

Long story short, my son has had some health problems, I was worried and upset about that so I went out on the beer and me and this geezer exchanged words so it was him or his bike and I did his bike. Wish I had of just give him a clump now!

As an ex copper let me give you my view.
The chances are that he hasn't got the police involved, maybe he is using the threat of it to get you to pay up?
You would look like a bit of a dick if you phoned the police up and they didn't know what you were talking about.
So my advice is just wait and see what happens as even if he has called the police they might not be that interested in getting too involved.
Ask to get the bike inspected by someone else before paying up.
